Hi Helen,

It's nice to "hear" from you and to know another "cousin". I have not made any progress on the origin of the brothers or their parents. Many researchers have their mother as Ann and their father as "J" but have never been able to get any "hard" proof out of them. Seems mostly to be speculation based on early census records for S.C.

Do you have any information on your Jacob's wife's surname? There has been some speculationt that it might have been "McGuire" since they named a son Cornelius McGuire McGlothlin.
