Greetings from a proud member of the McGlothlin family. I have been told that at the ripe old age of 53(in August), that I am the eldest of the great grandchildren of John Patton and Nellie Jane McGlothlin. I am the eldest of seven grandkids of Sherman Benjamin McG and Ida Alice McG(Fletcher). Sherman (born in March of 1901) was the eldest of 12 sons and daughters of John and Nellie. He died in March of 1949, 6 months before I was born. He is buried in Claypool Hill, VA, nest to his eldest daughter Evelyn. For those who may not know, I have information on the 12 sons and daughters of John Patton and Nellie Jane. My mother is the youngest of three children born to Sherman and Ida McG (named Chrysteen and married to John Pevny Jr.), and the sole surviving of the three, which included John Edward and Evelyn McG. I have visited in the Buchanan County area, but have never actually lived there. Regards
