William McGlothlen (1758-(est.)1849)

I've managed to trace up 7 generations so far back to the time of the American Revolution. However, I was wondering if anyone knew when William's branch crossed the ocean (potato famine or before?) or his parents' names and dates. Even his proper year of death would be appreciated. Thank you to all that may reply. For anyone interested, I am Andrew Thomas, son of Thomas Eugene, son of Lamont Carl, son of Grover Cleveland, son of Jacob Lilburn, son of Thomas Davis, son of Charles M (1780-1850), son of William, the one at which my genealogy quest has temporarily been halted.
