Hi Michael,
My GGgrandfather was Hugh M. Megiveron who married Justina V. Nicholas. Hugh was a son of William Megiveron and Margaret Dunckle. William and son Hugh lived in Lansing and Locke Twp., Ingham C., MI. Hugh M. and Justina Megiveron had a son William Jesse Megiveron who went to live in Washington State by 1911. According to an Ancestry.com family tree, William Jesse Megiveron was first married? to Permelia Weatherbee and had George Willis Megiveron around 1902, probably in MI. I have no proof of this marriage. The site also shows that Permelia went on to marry about 3 or 4 times.
My records show that William Jesse Megiveron married Clara South, April 23, 1911 in WA State. They went on to have about 10 children, one was named Stanley. There was also a set of twins among the chldren. It may be possible that William Jesse Megiveron left for WA State from MI, because of a divorce or separation.
I decend through Hugh M. Megiverons dau. Nora who married Icabod Lewis. If your George Willis Megiveron is a son of William Jesse Megiveron, then George Willis would be my great uncle.
Hope this helps.
Carolyn Lewis Denson
