When did James travel to the US? Did he travel with other family members?
I'm trying to find more information on Peter J. McGivern, Born in Newry (County Down) approx 1845. He moved to the US in 1865. Died in Newcastle PA in 1905.
Several of his children moved to Cleveland just after the turn of the century. It's just a guess but they may have moved their because the extended family helped them find jobs.
