The info that you state would lead me to beleive that your grandfather was Eli Hood McGinty, Jr. His father, Eli Hood McGinty, appears to have been our Eli Jackson McGinty's uncle. He was an orphan and we beleive he may have been the son of Robert McGinty) who moved to AR with his father (and Eli Hood's father) Joseph Jackson McGinty.
I would be interested in any information you have on the MS McGinty's. Our Eli sent a letter to Thomas McGinty (Eli Hood's half brother) asking if he had heard anything from him.
