There are no known records of Joseph McGinty's death nor
where he is buried. However; He was living in Union TWP
Conway CO. AR in 1850 Census with wife, Malissa, and four
children: John age 16, Thomas age 6, William age 5, and
Mary E. age 2. Union TWP is located about 6 miles West of
Greenbrier, AR. on the East side of the North Cadron Creek.
A plot of Joseph's farm places it on the South side of
the Old Springfield Road and East of the Cadron Creek.
The McMillan Cemetery is located about a half mile from
Joseph's farm. It is possible Joseph was buried in that
cemetery. No one knows this for certain and I say that
this is possible considering the proximity of his farm to
the McMillan Cemetery. It is possible Joseph died in about
1851. His widow remarried in 1853 to a Moses House.
