I have a copy but have no way to copy it as it is on that big paper. I got it from the Historical Library in Oklahoma City. My notations say: Dawes Applications M1104, Roll 130, Application number 13144. These are the numbers in Ok that they had. Martha E Cariker also applied Application number 4379, and there are several testimonies that she is Cherokee and a great grandaughter of Betsy Choat and they came from Wayne County, Tennessee. Ambrose Powell also applied, there is no application number on the document. He was the son of Ambrose Powell Sr who was the son of Louis (Lewis) Powell and Betsy Powell nee Choat
Apparantly, Betsy's name isn't found on the old rolls by her name, but maybe it is there by her Indian name. I have to do more research and find if maybe she died in Telequah as she is mentioned as: "the same Betsy Choat who is an----- at Talequah, IT" the blank area is unreadable, so don't exactly know what it said. Would love to do some digging there. Rebecca
