My g.g.grandfather Anthony McGinty was born c1835 in Ireland. Anthony married Sarah Meichan in Glasgow in 1856.
Anthony's parents were James McGinty and Bridget Foy both from Ireland. His siblings were Bridget b c1835, Patrick b c1841, James b c1843. All born in Ireland.
The family went from Ireland to Glasgow between 1851 and 1861. I've been unable as yet to find any passenger lists to identify exactly when they came over or exactly where from in Ireland.
Bridget Foy's parents were James Foy and Bridget ? Bridget died in 1872 in Glasgow.
Does anyone recognise any of this? Would be grateful for any information.
