Robert,
I don't know about a Lee McGinty, but yes, Billy was a World Champion Bronco rider. I read that he held the title for three years. It took him three days to win the title. He must have been quite a rider.

I really don't know if his house is still standing or not. From what I've read, at one time, he had a ranch, but when we visited him in 1960, he lived in modest little home in Ripley. He had a building in back, where he housed all his saddles, pictures, etc. I've not been there since then. One of these days, I'm going to make it down there. It's only about 3 1/2 hrs from where I live. A cousin of mine was there 7 or 8 yrs ago, but I don't know if they found his house. I'll have to ask her. She did spend some time visiting with Glenn Shirley, and I think, learned a lot about Billy. If I find anything out about the house, I will let you know.
Peggy
