Arkansas McGinty Family Reunion
A comittee has been formed to plan a McGinty Family Reunion
to be on the fourth Saturday of July, 2004. That will be July 24, 2004 and the location will be in the Conway-
Greenbrier area. An allday affair to begin at 9:00 A.M.
to 9:00 P.M. A tour of the McGintytown Community and Cem-
etery plus a visit to the homesite where Joseph Jackson
McGinty last lived. Joseph b. 1772 and d. 1851 lived in
Conway County near present day Wooster, Ar. Old Springfield
was the county seat of Conway County when Joseph was alive.
The entourage will return to the Event Center for lunch at
12:00 Noon then a presentation of the McGinty Family
History and Genealogy will be given by Robert McGinty an
8th generation McGinty in America. A Gospel Singing will
begin later in the afternoon with local singers and misic-
ians doing the gospel sing. A catered dinner is planned
for the evening meal at 6:00 P.M. THe finale will be the
Cecil McGinty Family Band playing and singing country and
western music. The cost will be under $10 per person for
the entire days activities which will include a booklet
on the McGinty Family History in America. We cordially
