My McGinnis line also starts in PA and came from Ireland. Francis McGinnis had a son William but he came to KY and Indiana. Can't find my line in Ireland but family lore says he was from County Down, Dublin. Have you gotten your line back to Ireland? Maybe way back in Ireland we are related. There is an Irish way of nameing children after relatives and I have found many Williams, Francis, John, David and James in many McGinnis lines. Good luck with your search, I have been stuck for many years and so have many of my McGinnis cousins. Carol
