I live in an area heavy with Irish and Scots descendants - Alexandria, VA. The Scots store up the road from me has a listing - with pictures of plaids - for special orders. They looked it up for me - it was a lime green background, and not very attractive.

(I don't know if it was correct or not, but the one they had listed was this coloration.) You'd be better off just getting yourself a nice royal Stuart plaid - much prettier.
