James Mitchell and Daisy Mae McGillicuddy ,

I am looking for any and all information on my great grandparents James Mitchell born about 1893 and Daisy Mae McGillicuddy born about 1893.

It is believed they were both born in either South Carolina or somewhere near the Appalachian Mountains. Daisy Mae would have been a little girl when her family crossed into Tennessee via wagon.

They had at least four children that I know of. James, Bill, Doris Irene born about 1921, and Jacqueline "Jackie" Mitchell born about 1923.

Both my grandmother Doris and Great Aunt Jackie were placed in the Protestant Orphanage in Nashville when they were little girls. I have no idea what happened to their brothers.

Any and all information will be most appreciated.

Sincerely Yours,

Jason Ward Williams

It it rumored that both James Mitchell and Daisy Mae McGillicuddy were a Cherokee-Irish mix.
