I am looking for information on the McGill family of Ohio and WV during the 1800s. Reese was born in 1819 in Monongalia, WV and married Mary Ann Griffin about June16, 1844. Reese died in the civil war in 1865 and Mary died in 1896. They lived for many years near Ironton, Lawrence County, Ohio and had the following children: Charles b. 1845, Virginia b.1847, Clara b. 1851, Reese b. 1855, Laura b. 1859, John b. 1861, and Credocia b. 1864. Several of the children lived, worked, married, and died around Red House, Winfield, Belle, and Newton, WV.
