McGibbony from Ireland to Scotand in 1850s

Does anyone know how I can trace a John and Jane McGibbony from Ireland who ended up in Stirling in Scotland in 1850's.

My father was their grandson but I guess that the y was dropped to be more scottish.

They are listed on 1881 census as being borm in Ireland but no further details.
