State of Kentucky
Owen County
On this 1st day of October, 1832 personally appeared before the
worshipful County Court of Owen County now in session John Searcy
(Several Paragraphs Omited)
We, Tobias Willhoite, a clergyman residing in the County of Owen also
and John McGibney, Jos. Jones & John Garnett residing in the same
county hereby certify that we are well acquainted with John Searcy
who has subscribed and sworn to the above declaration that we believe
him to be seventy years of age that he is respected and believed in
the neighborhood were he resides to have been a soldier of the
Revolution and that we concur in that opinion.
Sworn and subscribed this day and year, aforesaid.
