Thank you so much for your help! The D. McGeehan is Duncan McGeehan. I found census records for Robert Stewart and his parents from the 1850s through 80s and there is a John McGeehan listed as a sibling, although the birthdate is a little off from the John McGeehan I have married to Amanda Young. I'm having trouble finding census records for John, other than the 1880 census.
