Melissa, two years ago when my wife and I were visiting and touring in the North of Ireland, we too were trying to discover more of my McGeehan Family roots. This journey of course took us to Londonderry and Fintown in County Donegal. While there I spent several hours in the public library in Letterkenney, Donegal and there was a lot of research already done and on file there for your John McGeehan. Someone from you family had deposited copies of a lot of research on him. I especially remember seeing a newspaper clipping that had a nice cartoon line drawing of the DA. Contact them and I'll bet they will copy material for you. Now if I could only find more of my John McGeehan who lived in Brooklyn from 1853-93. He was a Civil War veteran and after the war worked as a clerk at a store called Browning and King. His address was 55 Williams St.
in Brooklyn when he died in 1893. I know everthing about the family after him but still searching for links in Ireland. Al McGeehan
