Hi Jerry,
We visited the Mulkey Cemetery in Eugene, OR several years ago. It is located right up on a hill top in a residential area surrounded by houses. I found Robert McGee in the Washington State Death Records as having died 1912 in South Bend, Pacific Co., Washington. He was buried in Eugene where his wife, Martha Drinkwater had been buried. There are a number of the McPherson family in that cemetery, also. Robert's brother, Joshua is buried across the river in Springfield at Mount Vernon Cemetery. Records show he is in Lot 112, Space 4, between his wife Amanda Drinkwater McGee and son James R. McGee. There is a marker for Amanda, but none for Joshua or James. Amanda's mother, Nancy, is buried in that same Lot #112.
You and John are direct third cousins, I believe. His great-grandmother was Mary Louise McGee, who married John Sharp, the eldest child of David and Margaret Bernard McGee. If my memory is correct, your Gr-grandfather was her brother, Francis Marion? John has not had his DNA run, but he is a Myers, so I'm not sure how the maternal line affects the DNA results, if at all.
