Larry,
I am descendant of same McGaw line you are following, however, you have made more progress than I have with regard to the Irish and Scotish ties.Thanks for the info on John. With regard to the William McGaw who you mentioned fought in the Revolutionary War, I have visited his grave in Ohio. I also have a copy of the application for pension that his wife,Mary )Patterson) McGaw filed in 1836 when William died.
My sister and I have ancestral tree complete from present to John McGaw in SC. Now working on Irish Scotish ancestors.
