hi all , i hope to find out something on a william mcgaw that married ruth hill in tennessee, william was born in Irland in about 1720 or 1721, i have narrowed to them two years that possibly the best match i can come up with. problem, his birth parents stats i have not been able to find. so here is some information that if anyone has to match that may know can help here please, i can try to give as much back on this. anyways, the information is

william mcgaw,
born in irland,
1789 in Hickman Station Davidson County, Tennessee
married ruth hill,
her birth place is in virginia,
i am not sure on her d. date though
however they had several children that is

mattie mcgaw, it is said she died with her father in the station there where he was stationed at, william mcgaw had some dealings with the cumberland pacts of 1780 though, and it was said that he served with george washington after indian raids across, virginia, kentucky, north and south carolina, and alabama. then theres,
aggie mcgaw, really no information on her, though i would like to later find out some on these peeps though.

john c. mcgaw,ABT 1766 in Virginia ,Death: FEB 1857 , now remember they at the time spelled mcgaugh instead. however matthew weekly was supposted to have changed the spelling in 1910 from what i heard, that is not confirmed though anyways
william mcgaugh,b.ABT 1770 ,no date on when he died though , this is possibly thinking on my part, obivous sign in of junior,

Mathew McGaugh was born 11 JAN 1774 in Augusta County, Virginia, and died 17 MAY 1858 in Marshall County, Tennessee. He married Elizabeth Hill 15 JUL 1802 in Lincoln County, Tennessee, daughter of John Hill and Obedience Collum. She was born 19 MAR 1788 in Williams, Virginia, and died 19 AUG 1822 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. He married Nancy Clark 1824. She was born 8 OCT 1800 in Rutherford County, Tennessee, and died 19 AUG in Marshall County, Tennessee.

now i do suspect that elibeth hill is possibly her daughter? of ruth hill or related some how but can not prove at this time, maybe one day i find out.
