Welcome aboard our Family Forum. My grandfather was Joseph Calhoun (hence "Uncle Joe") McGarity, his son William Dudley, Sr. was my father (I'm William Dudley, Jr.) I seem to remember an "Uncle Man" - would that be your grandfather? If so, guess that makes us 2nd cousins. I attended a McGarity - Harper (Joe married Fannie Q Harper) family reunion in Carrollton in '74, my intro to interest in genealogy. Can't add much right now to what you have, but have no disputes, either. I owe Bob McGarity some more info when I dig out some archived stuff after remodeling (thanks for the patience, Bob). I'd like to see your electronic data, Link, but I have a Mac (just a coincidence). By the way, I've seen a copy of, and taken family history notes from, "Letters of a Confederate Surgeon", but I don't have a copy and would like to get one. How do I do that from the GA Archives?
