Hi Heather, E-mail address :-Pennykaygreen@hotmail.co.uk The Direct descendant from Joseph McGarrity is Brad, who is over in Australia with is wife and young family visiting relations for 3 months at the moment. Different ways we found the name being spelt :- McGarrity....Megerrity.....McGarity....McGerrity......McGeherty....McGarretty, dosen't help!!! I think (only a guess) the reason for the the visit back to Ireland for the Marriage in 1903 for Matthew and Frances, is to marry back in their home town that Mary Jane and Kathleen, the two oldest siblings both spinsters were living at Market Hill, Armagh, Northern Ireland, 24 Newry Street. (Surname spelt McGerrity) in the 1911 Census. and other family members Matthew was Witness at Joseph and Martha McGarrity Wedding in 23 Jul 1894 Age: 28 at Mullaghbrack, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland. They then lived at 12 Quarry Row, Old Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland in the 1901 Scotland Census. Then in 1911 census lived at 39 Plumpton Street, Warrington occupation :- Tube Furnaceman, moved to Scotland for work in about 1899 to be with the rest of McGarrity family. We also have not found Matthew McGarrity in 1901 census in England,Scotland or Ireland? Where was Francis Frame and family born? I can do some more checking if I have that information. Regards Penny.
