McGarrity Coat of Arms.

I had always believed that the Geraghty coat of arms was of an oak tree with two hawks flying above it. (A variation of the O'Conor Don coat of arms which is a single oak tree). However, I was recently told by another Geraghty aquaintance that he was informed by the Chief Herald of Ireland that instead of two hawks flying over the tree, there were two doves. Bearing in mind the particularly warlike nature of the Mag Oireachtaigh clan in mediaeval times, this seems most unlikely. Has anyone subscribing to this list actually requested a copy of the coat or arms from the Chief Herald? All the books on Irish Heraldry I've ever read, and Eddy Gehogan's site on the Internet show the two hawks.
