Sorry I did not see your post sooner. I check the "McGarity" forum all the time. Tom McGarity was mad as "h" at Malida (aunt Lite) and he stole away with one of his sons, set the houst on fire, and went to Ark. and dissappeared.The son eventually returned to Ms. Aunt Lite is burried in Bently cem. in Bently. This all came from Jim Russel in Bently who is my cousin and close friend. All the family got out of the house but it went to the ground. Jim has spent years and a lot of money to restore the house and also maintains Bently cemetary. As near as we can tell Tom McGarity was a cousin to my McGarity's who lived in New Liberty.
