From the will of Simon, it appears that marrying of daughters got you treated somewhat shabily. Mary Magarrity got 5 shillings and Elizabeth Hines got one bell skillet. The rest of the estate was divided among his other sons save Arthur. John Magarrity had better take care of his wife, because she didn't get anything from her father. Traditional? I don't know. He certainly wasn't practicing primagentry.
