Walker Cemetery, McDuffie Co., GA

Would love to know the story behind the very large, modern marker in Walker Cemetery for Daniel McGahee. I do not believe it has been there very long. It reads:

Daniel McGahee
Born In Amelia County Virginia 1747
Died February 12, 1802
Revolutionary Patriot
A Member of Third Generation
of The Family in America
and The first In Georgia

Jane Brooke Hodnette McGahee
Born in Charlottesville, Virginia 1749

My husband grandparents are buried in this cemetery, his grandmother was a McGahee . . .

A very generous gentleman has shared much info on the McGahee family with me . . .but neither of us know anything about this McGahee.

Thanks for any word . . .Beverly Crosby
