Hello, I just ran across your request.
Funny, because I had just been searching info on the McFerrin, and different spellings.
William McFerrin was a grandfather of John B. McFerrin.

William had a son named James. James had William M. McFerrin and John B. McFerrin. William also had a daughter named Eleanor Duncan McFerrin who married C. Curlee.
When William was released from the Rev. War, he went to live with Eleanor and her family.

Check out "Reported Deaths, Southwestern Christian Advocate, 1838-1846". I used google.

Old William had gone on a trip to Middle Tennessee, with William Forbes. Old William got sick and died there in Tennessee. It is all in the site above.

By the way, I am looking for the father of William McPherron who was born in 1787. The spellings could differ.

Mary
