I have a little information on a Isaac McFerrin who married a Mary A. ?. Could be Sweeten. Not sure.
Here is the info I have, would be grateful if you would get in touch with me.
I have been looking for info on Will McFerrin who married a Lou (Louiza) Tidwell. This is what I have found:
1880 Benton Co., MS Census, Beat 5:
McFerrin, Isaac, 47 years old, born in AL
wife, Mary A., 42 years old born in MS
son, Frances M. or it could be Frank, 21 years, born in MS
son, William M or W, 19 years old, born in ms
daughter-in-law, Minda, 22 years old, born in AL. It was thought from someone that Minda and William were married but it could be that she was married to Frances or Frank.
In the 1870 Tippah Co., MS Census, Salem PO
#11:
McFerrin, Isaac, 37 years old, AL
wife, Mary, 27 years old, MS
son, F. M., 11 years old, MS
son, Wallace, 7 years old, MS
I found, I can't remember off the top of my head, a Frank McFerrin in the 1900 Census either in AR or MS with a wife named Mindy or Minda. This could be yours.
