Hello I'm looking for information on Samuel A.McFerrin he lived in Knox county TN. I believe at least the mid
1700's had a large family one of his children was James Harvey McFerrin.I am in hopes that somebody has information on this gentleman and his family. He was a land owner my records say had a plantation, he and son lived in Knox county for a long time.Samuel immigrated to America but do not know the date.What info I have says he came from England was of Irish descent,married in that area,was a farmer and school teacher and lived to eightytwo years old,was a prominent member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of which he served as Steward.
Please if you know of this gentleman or have ideas on finding him please contact me I would love to find members of this gentlemans family line.I wish I knew who Samuels other children were,only know of James Harvey McFerrin.
As to myself Samuel was my 4th Great Grandfather his son James Harvey McFerrin my 3rd,
one of his sons William Adkins McFerrin my 2nd Great Grandfather one of his sons was James Asbury McFerrin my Great Grandfather,one son Emmett Nixon McFerrin my Grandfather,his son Kenneth James McFerrin ,my Dad, and then Me.
I do have the names of James Harvey McFerrins children.
