From a transcribed will of Thomas McFARLING dated December 1861 in Pike Co. AR, I found mention of my g-g-grandfather D.A.B. RAGSDALE, who was appointed sole executor of the will. I think he may have been a son-in-law of Thomas. D.A.B. was b. abt.1812 in NC (parents unk.), and shows up in Bedford Co. TN on the 1850 census married to Elizabeth or possibly Elizabeth Jane. They moved to Pike Co. AR about 1852. I have found other clues/hints that Elizabeth's maiden name was McFarling/McFarlin/McFarland, so this will transcription leads me to believe she may have been a daughter of Thomas and Nancy McFARLING. I'm seeking any information that may confirm the McFARLING-RAGSDALE connection and identify this Elizabeth as a daughter of Thomas McFARLING. Also would appreciate any info regarding the tie-ins back to TN and NC. This has been a HUGE wall in our searching, so even the smallest amount of information will be greatly appreciated.
