Hello there,

This is exciting because this is the first response i've rcvd about this side of my family...okay, Ida Mcfarlane is the name that I have on her immigration card so maybe Vida is a mis-pronounciation (if we are related)...i'll have to check the dates again when i get home (i'm at work now)...i do know i have family in england (that seems to be a common place for jamaicans to go)...Ms Ida is my great-grandmother and she died in Bronx, NYC in the early 1980's. Does this sound like they could be related...i'm thinking the generations may be off by 1...if Arthur died in 1914 and Ms. Ida in 1980, the math just doesn't compute..we may still be related somewhere else on the tree..what other info do you have?
