Looking for info on Mary Nash (b.1902, Ireland), married in 1922 to Joseph McFarlane (b.1902, Scotland) in Omoa, Cleland, Shotts District, Scotland. Mary's mother was Bridget Nash (married to John Delaney) and Joseph's parents were John McFarlane and Mary McKinley. It is believed Mary and Joseph went to California. A search of the 1930 US Census returned a very close match of a Mary and Joseph McFarlane in Redondo Beach City, Los Angeles, California. Nationalities and dates of births match up. Children are noted as Scots - James (b.1923) and Mary (b.1926). Ellis Island searches show Cleland McFarlanes arriving in New York, e.g. Daniel McFarlane. The 1930 US Census shows a very good match of Daniel McFarlane in Redondo Beach City also. So all seems to tie together. Another bit of info which may help make a link - Mary Nash was also half-sister of Jimmy Delaney, footballer with Glasgow Celtic and Manchester United in the 1930s and 1940s.
