Looking for any possible family connections or information in Ireland in regards to these family names - McCutcheon and McFarlane..........
Mary McFarlane (McFarland) was born about 1821; died October 8, 1899; age 78 in Paris, Ontario, Canada.
William McCutcheon, her son born about 1865, returned to Ireland & brought his Mother to Canada April 20, 1894 - believe her husband John McCutcheon to be deceased before this date. John and Mary were probably married in the 1840/50's.??? There was also a son named Samuel (birth ?) who came to Canada with William sometime before 1891 and disappeared west somewhere.
When William McCutcheon was in Ireland in 1894 to bring his mother to Canada, there was a card issued to him by immigration (?) from somewhere around Waterford on the south coast. So I am wondering if my McCutcheon's were from the more south-easterly regions of Ireland. I have been searching in N. Ireland for some time but think maybe this card might signify that I should be searching in the south. If anyone has any knowledge of McCutcheon's and McFarlane's living in the area of Waterford on the south-east coast I would appreciate hearing from you.
Anyone having any knowledge of John McCutcheon, his wife Mary McFarlane or their children, please contact me. I would greatly appreciate any information at all on these Irish ancestors.
