Abilene Reporter News Abilene, Texas Saturday, November 27, 1937 McFall Rites This Morning Funeral for Mrs. R. L. MCFALL, 68, will be held today at 10:30 a.m at the First Christian Church with the pastor, Dr. F. M. WARREN, officiating. Following the service the body will be taken to Breckenridge to lie in state at the Kiker-Thompson Funeral Home. At 3 p.m. interment will be made in the family lot in Breckenridge cemetery betside the grave of a daughter who died in early childhood. Mrs. McFall died early Friday of heart attack at her home, 1741 South 12th. She ate Thanksgiving dinner with her family yesterday and was in apparent good health until shortly before death. AMANDA BELL BLACK was born in Fannin County, near Bonham, October 31, 1967, and moved to Breckenridge with her parents during her girlhood. On July 15, 1886 she was married to R. L. MCFALL, with Dr. RANDOLPH CLARK, co-founder of Texas Christian University, performing the ceremony. She had been a member of the Christian Church since the age of 11 years and was one of the most loyal and active members of the local church. Survivors include her four children, Mrs. K. STOKER of Post, ADDIE NELL, R. R. and R. E. MCFALL of Abilene; three sisters, Mrs. W. H. ACKERS / AKERS of Abilene, Mrs. W. C. VEALE of Breckenridge and Mrs. J. D. STOKER of Hereford; and two brothers, JIM BLACK and JOHN BLACK of Breckenridge; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be GROVER BROCK, H. W. MCDADE, DR. JOHN DRESSEN, J. M. HOPKINS, H. W. MCDANILE, Dr. B. F. RHODES, C. M. CALDWELL, all of Abilene, BUCK ROBERTSON and W. C. GOODMAN of Breckenridge, and Dr. J. H. CATON of Eastland.
