My ancestor, John F. Worley, wrote a promissory note dated 22 October 1839 to Elias B. Mcfadin. Elias was a resident of Warren County, Kentucky, at this time. I am extremely interested to learn more about the WORLEY individuals in Warren County and how my John F. Worley may fit in. And what was his relationship to Elias that Elias would loan this young man so much money? John was born Sep 9, 1821, and was living in Illinois where he died in 1844. Various censuses of his children report him as born in KY, NC, or TN. He named his first born son William - perhaps after John's father? His dau. was named Sarah Elizabeth.
