I am searching for information on Joshua Elder b.1818-1820 Pa. He was on the 1860 Arkadelphia, Clark Co., Ark. Census listed as a Merchant. His parents were both from Pa. His wife was Martha b.Ala. and no children listed. During the 1870 Census he is still there but his wife was listed as Ann E. b.1837 Tenn., Children Lizzie b.1861 Ark., Robert b.1866 Ark., James b.1869 Ark. and Stepdaughters Tammie McFadden b. 1855 Ark. and Jamie McFadden b.1859 Ark. On the 1880 Census he is still there with wife Ann, son Robert and baby Lessa May b. 1876 Ark. and both stepdaughters. Tammie became a School Teacher. I am wondering if Joshua is the son of Thomas Elder and Hannah Semans Elder. Any information would be greatly appreciated, Sandra
