A website about Coalville, Iowa has information about the coal mine that William McEwen (1845)and his sons owned. It has pictures of the mine location and names of other families in the town, including Fred Krause (later married to daughter Jean McEwen). Jean and Fred did not have any children. I think there was another son of William and Jean Lumsden McEwen , Robert, who died in a Coalville mining accident. His son, Milton (Mac), lives in Colorado.
