After using a lot of time if found Alexander McEwen on the census.
notes: 2.2.6(a)
-On the 1800 Oglethorpe C. Georgia census Capt. Warters District line 44, Alexr. McCewn males 0-9=2, 10-15=2, 16-25=2, 45 up=1, females 16-25=1, 26-44=2, slaves= 2.
-On the 1820 Lexington, Oglethorpe C. Georgia dist pg176? line 13?, Alx McCawen males 0-10=1, 16-26=1, 45-up =2, femals 16-26=1, 45-up=2, number of persons engaged in agriculture =4, slaves femals under 14=2,
Notice the spelling. Alexander was the son of Thomas McEwen and Elizabeth Cochran.Thomas is said to have been born in Pennsylvania and Elizabeth in Ireland.
