Duncan McEWEN. Duncan died in Straid Farm, near Craigneish, Muthill in 1841-1851, he was 64. Born ? 11 1776 in Muthill, Perthshire. Occupation: Farmer at Straid, near Craigneish, Muthill.
ca 1809 when Duncan was 32, he married Mary Ann MALLOCH, daughter of John MALLOCH & Marjory McLAREN, in Muthill? Born in 1787 in Muthill. Mary Ann died in Muthill on 1 2 1860, she was 73.
They had the following children:
i. John. Born on 16 7 1810 in Muthill.

3 iii. James (1816-1890)
iv. Marjory. Born app 1817. Marjory died in Sunnylaw Farm, Bridge of Allan on 16 9 1862, she was 45.
4 v. Catherine (~1818->1881)
vi. Alexander. Born app 1820. Alexander died in Muthill on 13 11 1868, he was 48. Occupation: Widower.

3. James McEWEN. Born on 23 4 1816 in Muthill. James died in Sunnylaw Farm on 8 1 1890, he was 73. Buried in Logie Cemetery, Stirlingshire. Occupation: Farmer, Sunnylaw Farm, Bridge Of Allan.
app 1845 when James was 28, he first married Jane WINGATE, daughter of Alexander WINGATE & Agnes CLOW. Born app 1808 in Dunblane. Jane died in Sunnylaw Farm, Bridge of Allan on 24 12 1872, she was 64.
They had one child:
i. Mary Ann (1846-1872)
On 5 12 1873 when James was 57, he second married Susan Rutherford BAIRD, daughter of Adam BAIRD & Susannah (Susan) RUTHERFORD, in Drumdruills Farm, Bridge of Allan. Born on 15 2 1837 in Mill Row, Dunblane. Susan Rutherford died in Drumdruills on 18 8 1915, she was 78.
They had the following children:

4. Catherine McEWEN. Born app 1818. Catherine died aft 1881, she was 63.
