I have found a record of slave ownership in Gibson County for 1850. It shows a "Hugh McEwen"
So now I am puzzled. Is James H. = James Havery or James Hugh. The headstone reads just J.H. Mcewen next to wife Mary F.
Is it Hugh or Harvey?
