Hello Bill Post,

I only have a birth date for Jesse of Mar 28, 1804 and this came from the Revolutionary War papers cited in my original post.

This isn't my line so I haven't pursued it much. I do remember seeing a Philadelphia will for a Thomas McEwen who had a McEwen-Davidson Company which owned about 25,000 acres in Pennsylvania and he left his wife $90,000. He also mentions a Duncan and a John McEwen in New York who have some funds in his company. I am unable at the moment to locate the reference but believe that it came from some Philadelphia will extracts.

I also wonder if there is a connection to the McEowen family in Somerset Co., NJ circa. 1750?

Good luck,
Bruce McEwen
