Hello Mary, I saw your post of several years ago.Seeing I am looking in the say parish, I wonder if we have anything to share. I have been able to trace my gggrandparents to Drumgooland Parish, Ireland. My great grandmother was Margaret McEvoy she married Hugh McMullen (this is the way we spell it). May 21 1882.I believe within the following year they left for Corning, New York. Moving to Roxbury, Massachusetts about 1895.
Using many different forms of databases, I have since found on the LDS films, that Margaret was the daughter
James McEvoy & Mary King of the same parish they were married Jan 23rd, 1859. Children of James & Mary, that I have found on this same LDS film are Anne b. November 12th 1859. sponser XX Rice & Ellen McEvoy. She became a US Citizen, I have that document.Looks like she never married. My Margaret was born Sept 21, 1862. sponsors looks like Bernard McGreivy (???) & Sarah Patterson. Hugh b March 20, 1865, sponsors Bernard King &Rose King.No further information. 1867 Catherine b. April 24, 1867. sponsor Margaret King. She became a US Citizen, I have that document.Looks like she never married.I have seen another daughter Elizabeth mentioned, I have not found information on her yet.
I have also previously posted on this list all of the information I have on Margarets children.
I would be interested in talking to anyone that is related to this family.
