Hello, Ron!
I was happy to hear from another McEvoy researcher!

I have searched the microfilm of the parish register for Freshford Parish, Kilkenny, Ireland and I've also been to Freshford. There is no record there of the marriage of Catherine and Edmund so I've estimated it at 1800.

From the parish registers of their family in St. Columban, Deux Montagnes, Quebec, Canada I have estimated that a daughter, Eleanor was born to them in Freshford in approx. 1801. She married Patrick Grace 2 May 1829 in St. Columban.

Michael (my ancestor) was born approx. 1803 in Freshford, but his christening is also not recorded at Freshford. (Many years are missing from the register.)

I have information on a total of 8 children of Edmund and Catherine and would be happy to share it with you. Why don't you email me directly and I'll see about sending you the file?

Best wishes!
