I don't imagine the Maria Evoy you are talking about is the same one that I know of. In the 1871 census of Huntley township, Carleton county, Ontario, Maria Evoy, b abt 1840, daughter of Jeremizah Evoy and Ann Wilson, was living with William Kemp and his wife Elizabeth Falls. Also William Falls married Elizabeth Evoy, daughter of Matthew Evoy and Ann Rose. On the 1852 and 1871 census Matthew Evoy had Elizabeth Falls, b 1785, Ireland, living with him. Perhaps his wife Margaret was a Falls and her mother was Elizabeth? The Kemp, Falls, Evoy and Hazelwood families are very intertwined.
