Since my last posting, I have found out that my grandfather, James McEvoy, was born on Upper Crumlynn Road close to Holy Cross Chapel on March 23, 1896 (pretty sure on the year). He married Ellen Hall McKnight and they had four sons: Robert (b@ 1924), William (b@ 1926), James (b@ 1930) and Norman (b. 1934). Norman is my father. My grandfather, James, worked in a linen mill and died of lung cancer in 1954. All brothers now live overseas.
