LaVergne,my great grandfather,Thomas Edward McEvoy died in 1902 and is buried in Atmore, AL. I don't think he ever lived in MS,and the children were all born in FL. Their son, John Joseph died in Jackson, MS. John P. died in New Orleans, Ella died in Pensacola, FL, James died in Atmore,AL, Katie died in Atmore, AL. and Mary Edna, my grandmother, died in NC, and is buried in Toccoa,GA.
My dad and his parents lived in Pascagola, MS for a while, which is not far from Mobile. They seemed to stay close to the gulf coast back in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
My grandfather,(John Wesley Miles) died in Ill.,1939, but had only been there 6 months, from Mobile. Dot
