You mention in your response that MS was one of the places that your relatives lived.
It is probably no connection, but Thomas McEvoy, my Grandfathers brother went to Anguilla, MS and was married to a Rainey- off hand I do not remenber if I have her maiden name or not. I haven't kept up with some of this due to moving last year and so some details are hazy.
Thomas was born in l855. Rainey and Thomas had children and was one named Gracey and my first name is actually Grace LaVergne.
Doubt that there is a connection there, but thought I would give you that info, just in case.
