Trying to help a cousin-in-law re McErlean. His father was Henry McErlean from Portglenone. Henry came to US via Ellis Island in 1921, age 21, b.1900. He settled in Phila. and married Nora Lavin of Co. Mayo. Children's names are Henry, Jack, Joe, Mary, Ed, Jane, Katherine, Michael and Anthony.

Possibly this Henry was a brother of your Michael McErlean.

I checked Griffiths Valuation online, there is only one McErlean in Portglenone, his name is George McErlean.

Any info on either the McErlean or Lavin family would be greatly appreciated.
